The World Association of Writers and Journalists of Wines and Spirits (WAWWJ) gave both distinctive to vintage 2012 Verdejo 100% made ​​by Bodegas Castelo de Medina in the wine world ranking 2014, in which over 650,000 wines from around the world were analyzed.

The nomination of the Castelo de Medina Verdejo as Best Verdejo of the World and Best White Wine from Spain is given by 7 international awards won by this wine in 2013. One of them is the Great Gold Medal obtained at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, the other one the Gold Medal at Zarcillo Contest.
