The French Œnologues Union have chosen to Castelo de Medina Verdejo 2012 as the best representative of Verdejo variety towards their project Enodegustación 2014, which it will be tasted other eleven wines all around the world.
The French Œnologues Union have selected twelve wines from all around the world that will serve to conduct the 2014 edition of Œnodegustation project, a project launched in 2009 the said partnership and winemaker Pierre Casamayor.
One of the twelve wines selected for Œnodegustation 2014 was the Castelo de Medina Verdejo 2012, which after winning a Gold Medal in the 2013 edition of the Vinalies Internationales. Our Verdejo was the only Spanish wine chosen from over 5,000 wines participated in this contest.
The 100% Verdejo from Bodegas Castelo de Medina, one of the most awarded at national and international contest in 2013, it has been chosen by the Tasting Committee of the French Œnologues Union for its variety, typicality and terroir.
The Œnodegustation project consists of proposing to three hundred French winemakers and wine lovers a selection of twelve wines from around the world who have certain specific features that make them perfect way represent the development of the area they represent. Through educational tastings they will be able to differentiate between different grape varieties from all around the world.
