The wines winning the Silver Medal were Castelo de Medina Verdejo 2012 and Castelo de Medina Sauvignon blanc 2012, while the Bronze Medal went to Castelo de Medina Verdejo Vendimia Seleccionada 2011.
On Tuesday, 21 May, the organisers of the International Wine and Spirit Competition 2013 announced the results of the competition, with a 'booty' of three medals for wines from Bodegas Castelo de Medina.
The two most successful wines from our winery in the competition were, once again, our two single-variety young whites. Both Castelo de Medina Verdejo 2012 and Castelo de Medina Sauvignon blanc 2012 received a Medalla de Plata to add to all the accolades they have received in 2013.
Castelo de Medina Verdejo Vendimia Seleccionada 2011 also won a Bronze Medal in the International Wine and Spirit Competition 2013, the first vintage confirming that this new product from Bodegas Castelo de Medina is a hit with national and international critics.
The International Wine and Spirit Competition is a global wine and spirits competition held in the United Kingdom since 1969. It features the best alcohol-related products, which are evaluated by more than 300 international judges in two separate tasting sessions.
