Castelo Noble 2011, which obtained the Silver Medal and Syté 2008 and Castelo de Medina Sauvignon blanc 2012, with a bronze medal each, were the wines acknowledged by the jury at the competition held in the United Kingdom.
The prize-winning wines in the International Wine Challenge 2013, one of the world's most important wine competitions, were announced this week. A total of 10,000 wines from 50 different countries were judged by a panel of more than 100 experts for two weeks.
Once again, wines from Bodegas Castelo de Medina have done well in an international competition, because three of its products have obtained medals and two a recommendation from the jury.
The highest distinction for the wines presented by our winery went to Castelo Noble 2011, a white wine fermented in the barrel which won a Silver medal.
The other two medals obtained by Bodegas Castelo de Medina wines were bronze, and went to Syté 2008 and to Castelo de Medina Sauvignon blanc 2012.
Finally, Castelo de Medina Verdejo 2012 and Viña Castelo 2012 obtained a recommendation from the jury in the International Wine Challenge 2013, which establishes that each wine should be tasted by at least 10 different members of the jury.
