The World Wine Meetings Convention (WWM) was held at the Majestic Hotel in Barcelona between 22 and 24 January and attracted participants from wineries and importers from all over the world.
On 22 and 24 January, Barcelona hosted the 35th edition of the World Wine Meetings Convention, an event that attracts importers and producers from all over the world. This was the first time that it was held away from its traditional location, Cannes.
The event, held at the Majestic Hotel in Barcelona (where Robert de Niro filmed his movie Red Lights just over a year ago), attracted 137 producers from France, Russia, Italy, Portugal and Spain with 120 importers from 25 countries around the world.
It is worth mentioning that Bodegas Castelo de Medina, in its work to gain visibility abroad, was the only winery from Castilla y León and of course from the Rueda Designation of Origin, to attend.
During the three-day convention in Barcelona, our winery cooperated with Hacienda Albae, a winery in Castilla La Mancha, to attract as much attention as possible from importers and to get the most from the event.
As well as mentioning our collaborators from La Mancha, we can't let this opportunity go by without remembering Pamela from Chateau La Grangere, Vincent de Domaine from La Tour, Natalia from La Purísima or Cristopher from V&F with whom we shared some fantastic professional experiences.
